New Zealander Tayler Reid’s storming finish to secure the U23 World title on the Gold Coast at the end of 2018 underlined the potential that many had already seen in the young Gisborne native who formed a key part of his country’s Mixed Relay success that hit Commonwealth Games bronze on the same course at the start of the year.
A first World Cup podium in Karlovy Vary in late 2017 was the springboard to a fine 2018, when the taste of success is sure to keep him hungry for more to come.
