Patrice Carroll Wolfensberger… Born Oct. 6, 1972 in Mount Vernon, N.Y. … Daughter of Robert and Patricia Carroll who live in Desert Hills, Ariz. … Patrice has one older brother, one older sister, two nieces, and one nephew… Married husband, Paul Wolfensberger, in April, 2003… Paul was a national team elect member for U.S. Rowing in 1994, but did not qualify for the Olympic team in 1996… Couple has two German Shepherds, Kodiak and Ivan, three cats, and one horse… Before competing eats a chocolate pop tart and rice and shine cereal with strawberries (not at the same time!)… Graduated magna cum laude from UCLA in March 1995 with a BA in psychology… Obtained law degree and master’s degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee in 2000… Passed the Tennessee Bar Exam in 2000… ” One of the first things I have to tell people when I race in international triathlons is ‘No I’m not from Colorado. Amateur Career: Began competing in 2001… Placed first at the Chattanooga Dam Triathlon in Tennessee with a 37:34 10k run split… Won the Mountain Lakes Triathlon in Alabama and the Tellico Sprint Triathlon in Tennessee.

Athletic Background: Swam at Horizon High School in Scottsdale, Ariz., and was a walk-on in college… Qualified for junior nationals in the 50-, 100-, 200-yard and meter freestyles.
