Essential triathlon training tips: Intro to swimming

Both seasoned and rookie triathletes often find the swim a daunting portion of a triathlon, and for many good reasons. Staying calm in rough waters packed with people can be a challenge, especially when you can’t see the bottom much less touch it.
But worry no more. In this week’s essential triathlon training tips, we begin to review techniques to improve your swim with an introduction to breathing and kicking. This week’s video also highlights methods to conquer the water such as drafting, maneuvering around buoys, dolphin diving, body surfing, sighting course markers and more.
