The International Triathlon Union, in conjunction with Spanish Triathlon Federation, hosted the first-ever ITU Paratriathlon National Classifier’s Seminar on 21-22 June in Pontevedra, Spain.

Penny Broomhead and Thanos Nikopoulos facilitated the two-day course, and five participants from Italy, Spain and USA learned the Paratriathlon competition rules. Those officials also attended the classification assessments for the ETU Paratriathlon European Championships on the weekend to leverage the skills they had gained.

The ITU Paratriathlon National Classifier’s Seminar will also be held in London and Beijing, the same week as the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Series events. Click here for more information.
