Graduated in 1979 in medicine and surgery, he is a specialist in sports medicine and physiotherapy. Currently medical director of the Meridiana Medical Center in Bologna
Since 2007 he has dedicated himself to the competitive activity of Triathlon which still continues today.
In these years of sporting practice he has participated in numerous national and international competitions, achieving 140 category podiums: 81 first, 38 second, 21 third
He participated in 2014 and 2017 in the XTERRA world final in Kapalua (Hawaii) achieving the seventh world position.
In 2015 he won the silver medal at the triathlon cross world championships in Orosei.
In 2019 he obtained the title of Italian champion of classic Duathlon, Medium Triathlon and Triathlon cross.
He also holds the title of regional duathlon champion of the category.
He participated on April 30, 2019 in the triathlon cross World Championships in Pontevedra in Spain, achieving the gold medal in his age category.
In July 2019 he participated in the European triathlon and duathlon cross championships in Targu Mures in Romania, achieving the gold medal in both specialties
