Bio

I didn’t have too much access to the sport early in life due to a lack of opportunity, but I always liked sport and being in nature. During my college I used to play basktball. When I did my Bacharelor’s Degree in Physical Education at the University of Brasília in 2002, I compete futsal, running and swimming. After that I was an athlete in climbing, being 3rd in the Brazilian Climbing Championship in 2012. In 2019 I started doing Triathlon. In my first race, the Brazilian Triathlon Sprint Championship in 2019 I placed 3rd overall in the amateur. When I started doing the standard distance I got 1st place in my category. But since the beggining I’d like to do the Cross Triathlon. In my first participation in the Brazilian Triathlon Championship in 2021, I got 1st place in the Elite. At XTerra in Ilhabela (Brazil) in 2022 she got 2nd place in the Elite, this is being one of the most difficult XTerra courses in the world. These results allowed me to qualify in 2022 for the World Triathlon Multisport World Championship in Targu Mures and the XTerra World Championship in Molveno, in which my performance was hampered by mechanical problems on the bike. I am also got a Master’s degree from the University of Brasília (2010) and a Ph.D. from the Federal University of Paraná in Brazil and Loughborough University in England (2017). I am Athletics Coach formed by the Brazilian Olympic Committee and I got the certification of Tirathlon Coach from Brazilian Triathlon Confederation (2020) and Triathlon Coach Level 2 by the Americas Triathlon and World Triathlon (2021/2022). I already worked at the Ministry of Sport in Brazil and at the Sports Department of Goiânia. CV: https://www.linkedin.com/in/alessandra-d/
