Bio

Rostislav is a triathlete representing the Ukrainian origin of Azerbaijan and won a bronze medal at the European Games in 2015. He also represented Azerbaijan at the Rio de Janeiro Olympiad in 2016.

Rostislav won his first prize in 2011 and took 3rd place in the European Championships in Turkey as well as securing a bronze medal.

In 2014, Rostislav took the 2nd place in the World Cup in Hungary. In the same year, he won the first place in the European Championships in the Netherlands and won a gold medal. He has also represented Azerbaijan at the European Games in Baku in 2015. He took the 3rd place among 53 athletes in individual races with a score of 49 minutes and 4 seconds.

Rostislav was awarded the “Progress” medal by the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for the great achievement at the European Games on June 29, 2015 and his great contribution to the development of Azerbaijani sport. Rostislav was among the top 39 athletes in the ranking table for the International Tournament Triathlon Union in May 2015 and won a license for the XXXI Summer Olympic Games. He also historically became the first triathlete representing Azerbaijan in the 2016 Olympic Games and took the 39th place with a 1 hour 52 minute 6 seconds result.
