Starting out in ITU para-triathlon events in 2014, Manuel went on to win the 2015 ITA Paratriathlon National Championships and backed it up the following year with another gold medal.

- 3rd place at the 2017 Besancon ITU Paratriathlon World Cup;
- 3rd place at the 2017 ITA Paratriathlon National Championships;
- 5th place at the 2017 Altafulla ITU Paratriathlon World Cup;
- 7th place at the 2017 Iseo - Franciacorta ITU Paratriathlon World Cup; and
- Winner of the 2016 ITA Paratriathlon National Championships.
