| Injuries | In November 2020 Oscar was involved in a serious accident in Kenya and sustained a limb threatening injury to his right lower leg and ankle. He had a severe grade 3 open fracture of the tibia and the fibula and loss off all the tendons on the anterior aspect of his ankle and foot.
Multiple surgeries were required to initially stabilize the fracture, treat the soft tissue injuries, and then achieve bone healing.
This took months of surgery culminating in a tendon interposition to replace the Anterior tibial tendon that was lost at the time of the injury. |
