Krushna Tanpure is the first Indian triathlete to reach the world championship and also he is the first Indian athlete won medal on world stage. He is based from the outskirts of Nashik, Maharashtra India. His passion for triathlon started at the age of 17. He himself had to gain knowledge about triathlon form various sources and had to convince his family that it is a sport that he can and wants to excel in. Krushna went to a college in a very small city which is when he found out about triathlon from a newspaper. He was not fit at the age of 18 but was mentally very determined to pursue this sport. Initially he started to run and became the first person in his college to complete a marathon in 50 years. Currently Krushna is training in Pune Maharashtra.
In the year 2020, He played the 29th senior men Maharashtra state games held in Nashik. In September 2021 he played the national championship Krushna, in October 2022 represented Indian in the Alanya world cup for para triathlon secured the 9th position. Since he was in the top 10, he got qualified for the world triathlon finals held in Abu Dhabi in November 2022.
He won bronze medal in 2023 para cup Abu Dhabi also he won gold medal in age group paratriathlon world championship 2023 . In 19 May He become 1St indian national champion. his ultimate dream and goal is to represent India in the Paralympics in the near future.
