I am a Deafblind person, married with two wonderful sons. My sport background was in Athletics. in which I competed at the 2008 World Deaf Athletics championships and the 2009 Deaf Olympics (Marathon). I was also founding President and Team Manager of the SA Deaf Rugby Team. I first competed in para triathlon in 2018, and then focused on para cycling, winning two national titles in 2020 and earning selected to the SA Para Cycling team in 2020 and 2021. I competed at the 2021 SA Para Triathlon champs, winning a silver medal, and was subsequently selected to represent SA at the All Africa Para Triathlon Championships in Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt, on 13 June 2021.
